Four years ago, Linköping’s first Makerspace was founded. In December, Makers from all over Sweden are coming for a Maker weekend filled with creative workshops, lectures, and creativity.
The program includes inspirational lectures, speedmaking (create together), extreme bike makeover, beginner introduction to product development with CAD, ICEBreaker Open Hardware FPGA, Leather & knobs, and CNC intro for beginners with x-carve. There will also be a wood workshop, 3D printing and lots of hanging.
Makerspace is a melting pot for creative creation in the border between technology, innovation, art, everyday life, and imagination – something not least noticeable in the program. The hope is to give every creative and curious person a place for collaboration and exchange of ideas. Here you can meet everyone from beginners in technology, arts, and crafts to experienced engineers and the everyday genius who lives for smart life hacks with scissors, saws, programming, and pens as prime weapons.
Makerslink is a non-profit association founded in 2015.
